Mönchengladbach (dpa) – Borussia Mönchengladbach has suffered its first defeat in the Bundesliga. Coach Daniel Farke’s team lost 1-0 (0-0) to FSV Mainz 05 on Sunday in front of 52,210 spectators. Aaron scored the goal of the day for the guests in the 55th minute with a free kick worth seeing. Gladbach’s Ko Itakura had previously seen the red card for an emergency brake. Due to the away win, Mainz jumped to fifth place with ten points, Gladbach fell back to ninth place.
