Navi narrowly reaches playoffs in CS:GO ESL Pro League

Salina (dpa) – Natus Vincere just barely reached the playoffs of the “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” tournament ESL Pro League. Team Vitality, on the other hand, was in excellent shape and remained undefeated.

“We didn’t have time to prepare our game with me in the team. It’s good that we still qualified,” said Navis star player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliv in an interview after the game. The Ukrainian joined the team late at the start of the season.

Actually, Navi came into the tournament in good form, but the team lost in Group A of the ESL Pro League against, among others, the otherwise winless outsider Endpoint. However, Navi made the playoffs as the first team to do so in the league’s current format with more losses than wins.

Team Vitality went five wins unbeaten in the second tournament with new signing Lotan “Spinx” Giladi. Star player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was in top form and secured the French organization an early entry into the quarter-finals. The third qualifier in the league is Fnatic, which made the team the playoffs of an offline tournament for the first time since the corona pandemic.
