Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – Unknown perpetrators laid out poison bait in a Frankfurt park. So far, the police are aware of nine poisoned dogs, four of the animals died, a police spokesman reported on Sunday. An employee of a veterinary clinic had already informed the police on Friday that several dogs with symptoms of poisoning had been brought in. All of the animals had been taken to the Bonifatiuspark in Frankfurt. There, police officers were able to secure several suspected poison baits.
The police warned dog owners on social media on Friday to take special care of their animals in the park area.
