More buses on the way

By Heike A. Batzer, Fürstenfeldbruck

The district and bus companies are working flat out to ramp up the reduced bus service again. Additional trips have already been added to the timetable on the MVV regional bus lines 838 and 839, and this also applies to line 820 from this Monday, September 19. This is announced by the district office in a press release.

Most recently, replacement timetables applied to many lines – not only because of the bankruptcy of the Fürstenfeldbruck bus company Enders, whose buses were on 15 MVV lines in the district, but also because of the general lack of bus drivers. In the meantime, Enders has been taken over by the new transport company ABGE Bus GmbH. “With emphasis,” says the district office, all those responsible would work to transfer the replacement timetables back to the usual mobility offer as quickly as possible.

The first improvements have been in place since mid-September. Line 839 between Tegernbach, Mittelstetten, Althegnenberg, Hattenhofen, Mammendorf and Fürstenfeldbruck again offers an early morning trip at 6.12 a.m. from Tegernbach, which then ensures an S-Bahn connection in Mammendorf at 6.49 a.m., as well as a trip at 2.46 p.m. from Tegernbach to the train station Fürstenfeldbruck with connection to the S4. On line 838 between Tegernbach and the Buchenau S-Bahn station, the journey from Buchenau was brought forward by ten minutes at 2:10 p.m. in order to shorten the waiting times for schoolchildren after the end of the seventh lesson.

On line 820, which connects the S-Bahn station in Seefeld-Hechendorf in the Starnberg district with that in Fürstenfeldbruck and in between stops in Inning, Grafrath, Schöngeising and at the Buchenau S-Bahn station, it will be from Monday to Friday with a few Give exceptions a 30-minute cycle again. According to the district office, more than half of the original trips will also be possible again on Saturdays. The Montessori school in Inning, which is also attended by children from the Fürstenfeldbruck district , now has all the connections it needs again. Until the timetable change on December 11th, passengers are advised to obtain up-to-date information about the intervals on the MVV regional bus lines via the travel information at , via the MVV app or on the website and .
