Düsseldorf (dpa) – SC Paderborn has lost the lead in the 2nd Bundesliga due to an unexpected blunder to Hamburger SV. The team of coach Lukas Kwasniok surprisingly lost 1:2 (0:1) at bottom Greuther Fürth.

Damian Michalski (42nd minute) and Branimir Hrgota (73rd) gave Greuther Fürth their first win of the season. Dennis Srbeny (49th) scored for Paderborn, who lost for the first time after 16 points from six games without defeat. With 19 points, Paderborn is now two points behind HSV, who won 2-0 (1-0) against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday.

1. FC Heidenheim meanwhile missed the leap to third place on the 15th club anniversary of coach Frank Schmidt. Heidenheim, despite being in the lead twice and outnumbered, did not go beyond a 2:2 (2:1) against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and now has 16 points. The hosts took the lead twice through Jan-Niklas Beste (17th) and Marnon Busch (44th). The promoted team equalized through Terrence Boyd (20th and 60th). FCK keeper Andreas Luthe saw the red card in the 41st minute for an emergency brake against Beste.

Jahn Regensburg stopped his crisis by beating FC St. Pauli 2-0 (2-0). Der Jahn had previously only scored two points from six games without a win and a goal of his own.
