Ulm (dpa) – After an attack and an argument with a machete in Ulm, four people have to answer in court from Monday (8.30 a.m.). In the proceedings before the Ulm district court, three men between the ages of 21 and 40 and a 33-year-old woman are accused. Since the youngest suspect was only 20 at the time of the crime and was therefore an adolescent, a hearing is held before the youth chamber.
The accused are accused of assaulting a 24-year-old in his Ulm apartment in mid-February to get drugs . Then the man is said to have pursued the quartet with a machete. The 24-year-old and one of the accused are said to have injured each other with the weapon. Because of the unusual weapon, the crime caused a stir in Ulm and beyond.
According to a court spokesman, the 24-year-old was sentenced in July to five years and eight months in prison for, among other things, armed drug trafficking and assault. The court ordered him to be placed in rehab.
His opponents, who are in custody, are now charged with particularly serious robbery, assault and other offences. Nine days of negotiations are initially planned, and a verdict could be announced in mid-November.
