Hanover (dpa / lni) – The weather in Lower Saxony will initially be changeable in the coming week, but then it will be sunnier. Monday starts with short breaks, in the course of the day there is changing cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms. Expect more showers along the coast. The temperatures reach 15 to 17 degrees, around 13 degrees in the higher parts of the Harz Mountains, said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD). On the coast there will still be strong winds with gusts of force seven to eight, inland the wind will be weaker.
In the night of Tuesday there are larger gaps in the clouds inland, there are still showers on the coast. At five to eight degrees, it will be relatively fresh inland, on the islands the temperature will remain in the double digits.
There are signs of a change in the weather on Tuesday. It will be much friendlier and cloudier with sunny intervals. In addition, the showers subside, only in eastern Lower Saxony does it rain more. The temperatures reach 15 to 16 degrees, in the mountains around 13 degrees.
The clouds will clear up on Wednesday night. During the night there will be fog in some areas, the temperatures will drop to one to six degrees. Ground frost may occur in some areas such as the Lüneburg Heath. Wednesday is then much friendlier. The fog is clearing, the sun is shining and there are loose cumulus clouds. The temperatures reach 16 to 18 degrees.
