Potsdam (dpa / bb) – Brandenburg’s Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke and Economics Minister Jörg Steinbach (both SPD) traveled to the USA on Sunday for company talks. Above all, they want to meet company representatives from the aviation and armaments sectors and promote Brandenburg as an industrial location.
Especially in these times of crisis, it is important to strengthen international economic relations, Woidke said before the trip, which lasted until Friday (September 23). In addition to a planned meeting with representatives of the electric car manufacturer Tesla, according to the State Chancellery, there will be a meeting with the top management of Boeing. Germany is buying 60 Chinook helicopters from Boeing, some of which are to be stationed at the Holzdorf site on the Saxony-Anhalt-Brandenburg border. In addition, Woidke and Steinbach want to talk to Rolls-Royce. The company is also based in Dahlewitz.
