Erfurt (dpa/th) – Left parliamentary group leader Steffen Dittes has called on the opposition CDU parliamentary group not to put off a regulation for quick Thuringian aid in the energy crisis. “We now need clarity and certainty about the legal and financial framework,” said Dittes on Thursday on the fringes of the state parliament session in Erfurt. The aim of the red-red-green minority coalition is to expand the purpose of the country’s corona fund to relief for citizens and the economy in the energy crisis in the short term. According to initial estimates, around 60 million euros could be made available in the short term.
The decision on the additional task of the fund – legally a special fund – to be postponed to a special session of the state parliament in October would not do justice to the challenges, said Dittes. The CDU parliamentary group has submitted its own proposals for energy aid to the state parliament , which are also to be discussed on Thursday. This includes an economic security fund of 250 to 400 million euros.
