Lions coach and quarterback Goff praise Amon-Ra St. Brown

Detroit (AP) – Coach Dan Campbell and quarterback Jared Goff have praised the German-American NFL professional Amon-Ra St. Brown for his start to the season in the highest tones.

“He’s not just here to catch passes. He’s here to do whatever it takes and that’s why his teammates appreciate him and so do we,” Campbell said at a Detroit Lions news conference. “I don’t think there’s been a day that I haven’t been like, ‘Man, that was a damn good block from this guy.’

The 22-year-old St. Brown has already caught three touchdowns in the first two games of the season in the National Football League and has eight touchdowns in the last six games across the season. “He’s very agile, he’s very fast, and like I said, he can kind of do anything you want and he’s always in the right spot,” said quarterback Goff. “He understands coverage and is smart, he blocks hard and is altruistic and that’s all you want in a receiver.”

The Lions have lost one game and won one in the NFL so far. The next opponents on Sunday (7:00 p.m. CEST) are the Minnesota Vikings, who go into the game with the same record.
