Flensburg (dpa / lno) – Tourism Minister Claus Ruhe Madsen sees Schleswig-Holstein’s tourism on the right track again after the Corona years. But there are two sides to the coin, the development is not the same everywhere, said the non-party minister on Thursday in Flensburg at the Schleswig-Holstein Tourism Day. Coasts fared better than inland, and accommodation types such as vacation rentals and camping recovered faster than hotels. In addition, guests from abroad are still in short supply. “We have to succeed in convincing people from other countries to come here.”

Experts from politics, science and practice discussed the situation and future prospects of tourism in Schleswig-Holstein on Thursday. Under the motto “Strength through new impulses”, topics such as integrative living space development, employee loyalty, ecological transformation and marketing are discussed.
