Goyang-si (AP) – Germany’s World Cup group opponents Costa Rica fought a 2-2 (1-1) win in South Korea in an international soccer match.

Jewison Bennette scored both goals for the Central Americans (41st and 64th minutes). Two ex-Hamburgers scored for South Korea: Hee-chan Hwang (28th) and Heung-min Son (85th). In the final phase, Costa Rica keeper Esteban Alvarado saw the red card (81st).

Costa Rica is the last group opponent of the German team at the World Cup in Qatar on December 1st. The five-time World Cup participant only qualified for the finals in the playoffs against New Zealand.
