Cottbus (dpa / bb) – A drunk 57-year-old is said to have threatened a man with a knife on the regional train from Leipzig to Cottbus. As the police announced on Friday, the man had previously made confused statements. When two passengers then sat away from him, he held a knife with a twelve-centimetre-long blade to one of them’s neck. A federal police officer who happened to be present temporarily arrested the 57-year-old on the train and handed him over to his colleagues at Cottbus main station. A breath alcohol test showed 1.73 per thousand. The investigations into attempted dangerous bodily harm, threats and violation of the weapons law are now underway.
