Leipzig (AP) – Shortly after the defeat against Hungary , national coach Hansi Flick did not want to talk in detail about possible personnel changes in the German national soccer team in the last Nations League game against England.
“We would do well to check off the game and analyze it first,” said Flick after the 1-0 defeat against Hungary in Leipzig on Friday evening. The DFB selection can no longer finish first in the group on Monday (8.45 p.m.) in London. After a 0-1 draw at European champions Italy, England is prematurely in the bottom of the table and has been relegated from the A-League.
The national coach in Wembley definitely has to make a change in the starting eleven. “Toni Rüdiger is suspended, he won’t be available to us against England. So we have to change something in the central defender position,” said Flick. Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck is the first option to replace Rüdiger, who saw his second yellow card in the current competition against Hungary.
“What we do exactly, how we do it, we will sit down with the coaching team and hopefully put the right eleven together,” said Flick on the selection against England.
